Disposition:
○ strong leader/resilient: Eunhyuk appears absolutely confident in what he needs to do. If he has any doubts he doesn't allow them to show because he knows that, in a crises, people naturally look for a leader and to a leader. As such, he instinctively positions himself into the role as the pillar of strength. He doesn't take on the role of leader because he wants to, but because he has to. When everyone in Green Home panics about the monster breeching the front gate Eunhyuk is the first one to act, and when they're all arguing on whether they should bust the security office doors open or not he grabs something to bash it with without even saying anything beyond, "excuse me". The rationing of food, the conservation of water, and just the general rules of Green Home were imagined and put to practice because of him, because he knows without someone to take control of the situation things would fall into chaos and they would all be soon dead. He doesn't care if people complain or hate him because it's a small price to pay for survival.
○ cold/logical: Because of his ability to run purely on logic most people call him cold, or an unfeeling monster, but it's not as if he doesn't have feelings. He's just able to separate them from his decision making so that they don't impede his ability to make the right choices for everyone. He's not just looking after only his sister and himself anymore, after all. It doesn't matter if he's talking to a frightened mother who, in her worry, wants to charge out into a world of monsters to find her daughter or if he's talking to an infected person who's scared of what might become of them. The gears in his head are always turning and he will approach both cases as problems to diffuse before the individual becomes a danger or burden on the rest of the group. But the most blatant example is when he sends Hyunsu to find a person of interest, someone they need to reinforce the barricades who also had two children with him. He tells Hyunsu, "if anything happens, the children are secondary" and to leave them if he has to. It's cold, it's heartless, but it's the kind of attitude he feels is needed in order to survive. He does feel for the people of Green Home, and he does at times show that the weight of these choices and the despair they bring distresses him, but he keeps those moments to himself and never lets them influence his decisions.
○ manipulative: Make no mistake. He's not a terrible person exactly, or a mustache twirling villain, but he is incredibly manipulative and views manipulation as just another tool to use to get the situation under control. Going back to the scared mother, whether he actually believes her daughter is even alive to be saved or not doesn't matter. He asks her if she's ready to die, if she has a plan, and when she fails to answer the questions tells her that she needs to stay alive if she wants to find her daughter. He also has no qualms against using Hyunsu's infection to his advantage. He acknowledges that he can be dangerous and potentially turn on them, but he also realizes that they will need someone like him, and tells Hyunsu that if he stays he has to do all of the dangerous work from then on or leave. When accused of "playing god" with people's lives he says, "it's in your best interest to get used to using people on the verge of turning.", and despite not believing that Hyunsu is a weapon still treats him as one because he knows they need him.
Relatedly, he doesn't have a problem with lying if he feels he knows what's best. It's his idea to hold a vote on whether or not to keep Hyunsu when everyone can't come to a decision, however he has no intention of going about this fairly. He admits later he was ready to stuff the ballots if the vote didn't turn out how he wanted, using the act of voting as an illusion of choice rather than...an actual choice.
○ Quick/smart thinker: He's more than just a hardworking med student. Starting with the obvious, he's proven to be capable of using what he already knows plus text books and his own research to perform an emergency appendix removal surgery with just the barest equipment. And he does so successfully! It's clear he knows his stuff and took his studies seriously, even though he expressed doubt about being able to do it. However, he shows an intelligence that goes beyond that. Even in moments of great distress and danger he's fast to find a viable solution, taking advantage of what he may lack in physical strength but has in intelligence.
Suitability: Eunhyuk is a resilient person and he prevails with a calm head. That being said, he'll continue to try and remain relatively calm on his arrival and get as much information as he can about this new world before he starts to formulate some sort of plan. In terms of Synchrony, he'll realize that it is a necessary thing in order to survive so it will actually not take him very much beyond the point where he finds out just how important it is for him to engage. However, the whole Gembonding powers and transformations bit is liable to make him nervous, seeing as he's coming from a world where people turn into monsters based on something as abstract as "desire". Though being in a world where everyone is affected and not just a select few will force him to reevaluate how he approaches his fellow worldnapped and the native gems alike. He's going to be cautious and naturally mistrustful but he will still be cooperative because he'll likely see it is in his best interest to do so. For example, once he's used to the idea of having powers (seeing as how his last act was letting himself get crushed because he became an infected) he'll focus on learning how to utilize them to the best of his ability. He's also going to take an interest in people who have been here longer, see how they're coping with these changes, and what he can possibly expect.
Condition upon arrival: So, Eunhyuk found out at some point that he was infected with whatever it is that turns people into monsters right before he got here. On top of that, he stayed behind in Green Home which had begun to crumble around him until he was crushed by the rubble.
Abilities:
○ Medicine: He's a med student, likely only in his first two years, but he's shown to know enough about medicine to conduct an appendix removal surgery so I would say he's pretty proficient in that area.
○ Reading people: Eunhyuk definitely knows how to read a person. Even when he makes a miscalculation, like thinking he would need to stuff the ballots to get Hyunsu to stay, he realized quickly after that the reason not everyone voted to kick him out wasn't because of him laying a guilt trip on them but because they were scared that any one of them could turn next. He's not a smooth talker or a charmingly charismatic leader. His charisma and strength is in using what he knows of basic human nature to steer others into arriving to the conclusions he thinks is best. The fact that people of various ages and experience (older, younger, even military) follow him and his rules is a testament to how he's able to talk to them in a way that makes them realize that he's fit to be in charge.
○ Intelligence: The boy is smart as hell. One of his strongest points is being able to draw conclusions based on what's happening around him even in a time of crises. He knows when it's best to stay put versus when everyone should pack up and leave, and when the risk is higher than the reward or vice versa. He knows when the focus should be on obtaining more food, or when the barricade should be reinforced, and exactly how much manpower should be given to a cause. He knows where the priorities are and is seemingly able to formulate a plan quickly.
○ Good aim: He can handle a crossbow and shoot an actual speed demon in the head after being knocked onto his ass so I would call that a skill.
Inventory: Just his glasses, which may end up smashed, and a CD player/headphones. Which...will also be pretty banged up, rip, and a photo of his family which will be a bit bloody.
